Description

Tesa 4944 Extra Strong is an industrial-grade, double-sided cloth tape specifically developed for heavy-duty applications and permanent mounting where standard tapes fall short. Thanks to a flexible cloth backing coated with a powerful synthetic rubber adhesive, the tape offers excellent immediate adhesion ("tack") and builds exceptional final bond strength over time. It adheres excellently to both smooth and more porous or uneven surfaces, such as concrete, plaster, tiles, wood, metal, and most plastics.

Applications

• Heavy floor coverings: Installation of floor coverings with textile, felt, PVC, or foam backings on level to slightly uneven subfloors.
• Skirting boards and edge profiles: Mounting textile or flexible skirting boards and transition strips against walls or floors (plasterboard, concrete, wood).
• Trade fair and event flooring (permanent/semi-permanent): Securing carpets and walkways in exhibition halls where the flooring must not slip or bubble under heavy foot traffic.
• Industrial bonding: Permanent lamination and attachment of flexible materials—such as textiles, foam, felt, felt gaskets, and plastic films—to metal or plastic surfaces.
