• Keep the right angle: Follow the existing edge angle of the knife (usually about 20–23° for Morakniv's standard knives with scandi grind).
• Light pressure is enough: Let the diamonds do the work. Sweep the sharpener evenly along the edge from heel to tip.
• Repeat on both sides: Sharpen the same number of strokes on both sides of the blade until an even raw edge is created and broken away.
• Cleaning: Rinse the sharpener under lukewarm water with a little washing-up liquid and a soft brush if necessary to remove metal shavings (slurry). Wipe dry before storing.
