Areas of Use

The thermometer is specifically designed for the following three measurement methods:

• Oral (in the mouth)
• Rectal (in the rectum)
• Axillary (in the armpit)

Note: The thermometer must not be used in the ear. Using a probe cover (hygienic plastic cover for the tip) may result in a slight deviation of approximately 0.1 °C (0.2 °F) from the actual body temperature.

Important Safety Information

• Choking Hazard: The thermometer cap and battery are small parts that can be fatal if swallowed. Never allow children to use the device without adult supervision.
• Battery Safety: Do not place the battery near extreme heat or open flame as there is a risk of explosion. Remove the battery from the device if it is not going to be used for an extended period of time.
