Description

Protect and beautify your facade with Nordsjö Murtex Silicate. This is a genuine, full-matt (gloss 3) silicate paint developed especially for mineral substrates such as plaster, concrete, facade bricks and fiber cement boards. Murtex Silicate is extremely diffusion-open, which means that the paint allows the substrate to "breathe" and releases moisture from the inside without the risk of blistering or flaking.

Application guide and tips

• Preparation: The substrate must be clean, dry and solid. Brush away loosely bound or chalky particles. Cracks are repaired with a suitable repair mortar.
• New painting & highly absorbent surfaces: Pretreat highly absorbent substrates (e.g. older lime paint) with Murtex Silicate Primer diluted 1:1 with water. Then prime with Murtex Silicate mixed 2:1 with primer. Finish with 1–2 coats of Murtex Silicate.
• Repainting: Scrape off loose paint. Coat 1–2 times with Murtex Silicate (can be diluted with max. 10% water if necessary).
• Painting technique: Cross roller to achieve the best possible color uniformity.
• Important / Safety: Silicate paint has an etch effect on glass, ceramics, natural stone and metal. Mask and cover carefully. Wear safety glasses and gloves. Do not apply at temperatures below +10 °C or at humidity above 80%.
