Description

Falu Fasad Herrgårdsgul combines the best of two worlds: the classic, fully saturated expression of traditional slurry paint and the technical advantages of a modern, alkyd oil-based emulsion paint. The result is a facade paint that preserves the living structure of the wood while providing robust, long-term protection against weather and wind.

Since the paint is completely diffusion-open, no dense paint film is formed that risks trapping moisture or peeling over time. Instead, the wood is allowed to breathe naturally, which effectively ventilates the moisture from the inside and reduces the risk of rot and cracking. Unlike traditional slurry paint/red paint, Falu Fasad does not chalk when it has dried. This means that the facade does not discolour when touched, that dirt absorption is reduced and that you have significantly longer repainting intervals.

The advanced binder composition also provides superior adhesion to substrates where regular mud paint would otherwise not adhere. It works just as well on sawn timber as on planed surfaces, weather-exposed pressure-impregnated wood and previously mud-painted facades. Usage & Painting Guide

Suitable substrates:

• Untreated / Clean wood: Both sawn and planed wood.
• Pressure-impregnated wood: Must have been exposed to the weather for at least 1 year before painting.
• Previously mud paint-painted wood: Carefully brush away loose mud paint with a wire brush. No thick layers may remain. (Note: When changing to the manor yellow color from darker colors, a completely clean wood substrate is recommended for best results).

Application

• Work in the same simple and smooth way as with traditional mud paint/red paint.
• Stir well from the bottom before and during painting.
• See the packaging for detailed drying times and recommended weather conditions.
