Description

Falu Facade Light Red from Falu Vapen combines the classic, vibrant aesthetics of traditional red paint with the modern color chemistry of an alkyd oil-based emulsion paint. The result is a full-matt, easy-to-apply facade paint in a timeless light red color that provides superior protection against weather and wind, while also having a significantly longer repainting interval than regular mud paint.

The paint is completely permeable to diffusion and does not form a dense paint film. This means that the wood is allowed to breathe unhindered and moisture can be vented out naturally, which minimizes the risk of moisture-related damage, rot and flaking. One of the biggest advantages of Falu Fasad is that it does not chalk off when touched or rained on. This keeps the facade fresh for longer and makes it much easier when it is time to repaint.

Thanks to its unique binder composition, Falu Fasad adheres to surfaces where traditional slurry paint usually does not work. It does not require a separate primer and can be applied directly to sawn timber, planed surfaces and pressure-impregnated wood (that has been exposed to the weather for at least one year). The paint is therefore ideal for extensions and renovations where more modern wooden details should blend in with older, slurry-coloured house bodies.

Falu Fasad can also be painted directly over previously red-coloured surfaces, provided that loose paint is brushed off with a wire brush before application. The product is registered in the BASTA system, which guarantees that it meets strict environmental requirements and is a safe choice for both craftsmen, homeowners and the environment. The consumption is approximately 4–6 m² per litre depending on the structure and absorbency of the surface.
