Mounting tips

1. Choose the right location: Measure the desired height (usually around 170–180 cm from the floor in the hallway for adults, or 100–120 cm for children) and use a spirit level for straight alignment if several hooks are mounted in a row.

2. Mark the drill holes: Hold the hook against the wall in the desired location and carefully mark the screw holes with a pencil.

3. Adjust to the wall material:

• Wooden/plank wall: Pre-drill a small starter hole with a thin wood drill bit and then screw the hook directly into place with the screws provided (plugs not required).
• Concrete, brick or lightweight concrete: Drill holes according to the diameter of the supplied plug, press the plug so that it is flush with the wall and then attach the screw.
• Drywall: Check whether the supplied universal plug is suitable, or use a special drywall plug/molly plug for heavier loads (e.g. heavy winter jackets).

4. Wet room & bathroom: If the hook is mounted in the bathroom's wet zone, always fill the drill hole with wet room silicone before inserting the plug and screw to ensure a waterproof moisture protection.

5. Screw with feeling: Use a hand screwdriver or set the screwdriver to low torque when tightening the screw, so that you do not damage the groove or the brushed chrome finish.
