Hot-dip galvanized lock nut M20 (Nyloc) is a heavily dimensioned hexagon nut with integrated plastic insert, specially developed to ensure permanent and extremely reliable fastening in the most demanding environments. The nut meets the industry standards DIN 985 and ISO 7040. Thanks to its coarse M20 thread and a high-quality, weather-resistant surface treatment, this is the obvious choice for heavy steel structures, bridge construction, machine assembly and industrial applications that are exposed to extreme forces and harsh weather conditions.

Vibration-proof Nyloc locking for maximum security

The lock nut is equipped with an internal, gripping ring made of nylon (polyamide) in the upper edge of the nut that mechanically secures the connection:

• Permanent vibration protection: When the nut is tightened on an M20 bolt, the threads of the bolt are pressed into the nylon ring. This generates a constant friction that prevents the nut from vibrating loose or unthreading on its own, even under continuous mechanical shock or dynamic load.
• Hot-dip galvanised (FZV) corrosion protection: Through the hot-dip galvanising process, the nut receives a thick and extremely durable zinc layer. This provides superior protection against rust and corrosion, which means that the nut maintains its structural strength over time in demanding outdoor environments, marine environments and heavy industrial facilities.

With a thread diameter of 20 mm (M20), this nut is intended for heavy-duty connections that require very high tensile and tensile strength (Strength class 8).
