Perforated Plate HP 120x300x2.0mm Hot-Dip Galvanized Steel 25pcs Fast 833335
Description
HP perforated steel plates are an essential component in modern timber construction. They serve a vital function as robust connecting plates—for instance, when assembling roof trusses, load-bearing floor joists, and other complex timber joints. This versatile construction hardware offers a wide range of applications, suitable for both simple building projects and more demanding structures where high load-bearing capacity and long-term stability are critical. With their solid construction and precise manufacturing by the trusted brand Fast, these plates ensure reliable load transfer between timber members, minimizing the risk of movement or deformation within the structural framework over time.
Robust Materials and Corrosion Protection
The product is manufactured from hot-dip galvanized steel sheet (grade S250GD+Z275). This means the steel is coated with a substantial layer of zinc, providing effective, long-lasting protection against rust and corrosion. This makes the perforated plate well-suited for use both indoors and in more exposed structures, where moisture and temperature fluctuations could otherwise negatively affect the metal's lifespan. The hot-dip galvanized finish ensures that the plate retains its structural integrity and strength for decades—a critical quality for load-bearing components in roof trusses and building frames.
Features and Benefits
- Manufactured from hot-dip galvanized steel sheet (S250GD+Z275) for maximum durability
- Effective rust protection, well-suited for demanding construction environments
- Precision-stamped, 5 mm diameter nail holes for easy installation
- Optimized material thickness of 2 mm for high load-bearing capacity
- Designed to create strong, rigid joints in timber structures
- Suitable for both professional contractors and private construction projects
Applications and Installation
Perforated plates are primarily used as connecting plates in the fabrication and assembly of roof trusses; however, they are also excellent for reinforcing corners, joining studs, and connecting load-bearing timber in wall and roof structures. To achieve optimal results and avoid eccentric loading on the joint, two plates should always be used—one on each side of the timber structure. Fastening is simple and secure using 4.0 mm anchor nails or 4.8 mm anchor screws, which fill the nail holes precisely and ensure that the load is distributed evenly across the entire surface of the plate.
