Description

Morakniv 163 Double-edged is one of the craftsman's most appreciated carving and carving knives. The characteristic curved U-shape (hook blade) is specially designed for gouging out concave shapes such as the recess in a tablespoon, a bowl or a decorative wooden bowl.

Durable Swedish stainless steel

The blade is made of carefully hardened stainless steel in Morakniv's own factory in Östnor, Mora. The steel retains its extreme sharpness for a long time and requires minimal maintenance compared to carbon steel - perfect if you carve in fresh, moist wood (raw wood). The optimized edge angles ensure that the knife cuts cleanly through the fibers without chipping or splitting the wood.

Ergonomic handle in oiled birch

A carving project can take hours, which is why ergonomics are absolutely crucial. The rounded, coil-shaped handle in oiled Scandinavian birch provides a natural and steady grip. It reduces hand fatigue and gives you full control over the angle of each cut.

Sustainable and locally produced leather cover

For safe storage and transport, a form-fitting edge cover is included. The cover is made locally from Swedish vegetable tanned leather from cowhides. It not only protects the razor-sharp edge from impacts and wear, but also protects your fingers when you pick up the tool from the tool bag.
