Tar Asphalt Spray 500ml Soppec
Description
With Soppec PAK Detector Tar Asphalt Spray you can quickly and easily identify the presence of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH/PAK) on site. Many asphalt types that were laid in the 1980s and 1990s contain tar with substances that are now strictly prohibited due to health risks.
This white indicator spray is the perfect tool for maintenance work, street work and demolitions. The unique solvent in the spray dissolves any PAH in the asphalt and causes a clear color change to yellow at concentrations of 100 ppm and above. By identifying the tar in time, you can easily separate the hazardous waste from regular waste and ensure a safe working environment.
Please note that the spray provides a reliable indication of the presence of tar, but does not replace an official laboratory measurement.
Features & Benefits
- Quick identification: Shows the presence of hazardous tar (PAH) in just 15 minutes.
- Clear color result: The white marking color changes to yellow if the asphalt contains PAH (limit value from 100 ppm).
- Important for waste management: Makes it easy to sort and separate tar asphalt from clean asphalt waste.
- Flexible use: Works excellently in harsh weather conditions and can be applied in temperatures from –10 °C up to +50 °C.
Instructions for use
- Shake the can well before use.
- Spray an even, white layer directly onto the asphalt surface or drill hole to be tested.
- Wait for approximately 15 minutes. If the color changes from white to yellow/brownish, it indicates that the asphalt contains tar and must be handled as hazardous waste.
