Description

Herdins Wax Oil Transparent (500 ml) gives your indoor wooden surfaces effective surface protection while deepening the color and highlighting the wood's natural grain. The oil leaves an elegant, matte finish with good resistance to dirt and moisture, making it ideal for both smaller carpentry and larger wooden surfaces such as countertops, furniture and panels. The formula is based on tall oil fatty acid and mineral wax that penetrates deeply into the substrate, regardless of whether the wood is oil-stained or wood-cleaned from the start.

Instructions for use

Pre-treatment

• Clean the surface thoroughly from dust and dirt.
• Sand clean wooden surfaces smooth with 120-grit sandpaper. Remove all sanding dust before application.

Application

• Stir the wax oil thoroughly before use.
• Apply a thin, even layer with a lint-free cloth or cellulose sponge. Work from less absorbent to more absorbent areas.
• Let the oil penetrate for 15–20 minutes. Add more oil if necessary on dry areas.
• Important: Wipe off any excess thoroughly with a clean cloth so that no sticky film forms on the surface.
• Let dry for about 12 hours at room temperature.
• For extra shine, the surface can be polished with a white scouring pad or polishing cloth after drying.

Cleaning & Tool Care

• Scrape off tools and rags thoroughly.
• Clean tools in brush cleaner or white spirit.

Maintenance

• When the wooden surface starts to feel dry or rough, it is time for retreatment:
• Clean and let dry.
• Work in a thin layer of Herdins Wax Oil, let rest for 10–20 minutes and wipe off any excess.
• Let dry for 12 hours and re-polish if necessary.

Safety, Handling & Environment

• Spontaneous ignition hazard: Contains drying oils. Always soak used rags and rags in water or burn them under controlled conditions after finishing work.
• Ventilation: Ensure good ventilation during work and drying.
• Storage: Close the can tightly after use. Keep out of the reach of children.
• Waste management: Leave empty tin cans and leftover liquid residues at the local recycling and environmental station. Do not pour into the drain.
