Cover plates

Cover plates give your pipe installations a stylish, professional and complete finish. When pipes are pulled through walls, floors or ceilings, gaps and irregularities are often left around the penetration. With the right cover plate, you can effectively hide the hole while protecting against dirt, moisture and damage.

At Velltra you will find a comprehensive range of cover plates in different designs, colours and dimensions – from single and double plates to divisible models and vulcanised plates. Whether you are renovating your bathroom, installing new tap water pipes or giving your kitchen installation a makeover, we offer quality products from well-known brands such as Faluplast, Geba and Tollco.

Choose the right cover plates for your installation

When you are carrying out plumbing work or upgrading the plumbing in your home, the cover plate is the final piece of the puzzle that makes all the difference to the overall impression. In addition to providing a clean and tidy appearance, the cover plate also serves as practical protection around the pipe penetration. By choosing the right model adapted to your space and your pipe type, you ensure both a stylish installation and a durable result.

Different types of cover plates and their uses

There are several variations of cover plates depending on where and how they are to be installed:

  • Single and double plates: Suitable for either a single pipe or paired pipe runs, for example to mixers and radiators.
  • Split cover plates: Perfect when the pipes are already installed and you cannot thread the plate over the pipe end. You simply snap the plate together around the existing pipe.
  • Vulcanized washers: Made of a more flexible material that fits tightly against the pipe for an extra good fit and protection against splashes.
  • Cover caps: Deeper washers that cover larger penetrations or connections that protrude from the wall.

Important to consider before buying

Before you order your cover caps, there are some important measurements and factors you should check:

  • Pipe diameter: Measure the outer diameter of the pipe carefully so that the inner hole of the washer fits exactly. Common measurements include, for example, 12 mm, 15 mm, 18–22 mm and flexible spans.
  • Center distance (c/c measurement): If you are going to use a double washer, you need to measure the distance between the pipe centers (common c/c measurements are, for example, 40 mm and 60 mm).
  • Color and material: Match the cover cap with the rest of the fixture or wall covering. Classic white, chrome, stainless steel or anthracite gray provide different visual expressions in the room.
  • Installation method: Choose between standard models for new installation or divisible/self-adhesive variants for easy retrofitting.
