Choose the right slide valve for your piping system
When planning a plumbing installation or need to replace an existing shut-off valve, the choice of model and dimension is crucial to the function of the system. Slide valves are characterized by their flat or wedge-shaped disc that slides vertically into the fluid stream to completely shut off the flow. The main advantage of this design is that it offers a straight passage without obstacles, which prevents pressure drops in the line.

- Low flow resistance: Since the valve is fully open, the flow or pressure in the system is not noticeably affected.
- Versatile use: Excellent for both hot and cold water as well as other neutral liquids in plumbing systems.

Important things to consider before buying
- Dimension and thread: Check which thread dimension your piping system requires. In our range you will find models with internal thread in several standard sizes (for example R15, R20, R32, R40, R65 and R80).
- Pressure class (PN): Ensure that the valve can withstand the system's working pressure. Many of our gate valves have a pressure class of PN16, which covers most normal plumbing applications.
- Placement: Keep in mind that gate valves are primarily designed to be fully open or fully closed. They should not be used for fine adjustment or throttling of the flow for a long time, as this can cause wear on the seal.
