Description

Falu Vapen Base Paint 3L in white is a water-borne special paint of the highest quality, especially developed to protect and beautify exposed mineral substrates outdoors. The formula is based on an advanced silicone binder reinforced with light-fast color pigments and micronized marble. This composition creates a microporous paint film that is extremely diffusion-open: it allows moisture, steam and condensation to migrate freely from the inside of the structure while forming a hydrophobic barrier against driving rain and ground moisture from the outside. By effectively ventilating the substrate, the risk of frost heaving, paint shedding and cracking is drastically minimized, which is crucial for house foundations, plinths, concrete elements and plaster facades in the Nordic climate.

Thanks to the natural resilience of the silicone resin, the paint retains its elegant, fully matte structure year after year without chalking, fading from UV radiation or being damaged by acid rain and air pollution in demanding urban environments. The surface becomes water-repellent and self-cleaning in rain, which means that the plinth stays clean and presentable for a long time. The product is also optimized for a smooth workflow; it does not require a separate primer or base coat, but is simply applied in two covering layers with a brush, roller or paint sprayer. Usage & Painting Tips

How to paint with Falu Base Paint:

• Preparation: Make sure the surface is clean, dry and free of loose plaster, dust or algae.
• Priming: If necessary, the first coat can be diluted with a little lukewarm water (normally no dilution is needed).
• Application: Paint 2 coats with a brush, roller or paint sprayer.
• Drying time: Surface dry after about 30 minutes. The second coat can be applied after about 2 hours (at 20 °C).
