Description

Polly Bollard from LightsOn Garden is a stylish and functional outdoor luminaire developed for the Nordic climate. Made of robust, anthracite grey powder-coated aluminium with a frosted acrylic glass dome, Polly delivers a soft and glare-free 360-degree light. It is an optimal choice for creating security and orientation along garden paths, driveways, stairs and entrances, as well as decorative mood lighting submerged in flowerbeds and shrubs.

Flexible 12V installation and long life

The luminaire is supplied with an energy-efficient, replaceable LED light source with GU5.3 socket. This makes maintenance easy over time – you can easily change the light source yourself by unscrewing the top of the luminaire. Thanks to the high protection class IP65, the bollard is completely dustproof and splash-proof against heavy rain and melting snow.

Installation is quick and safe via LightsOn Garden's proven 12V Plug & Play system:

• Safe low-current system: 12 volts does not require a qualified electrician and the cables do not need to be buried at a frost-free depth.
• Stable ground attachment: The included ground spike ensures easy anchoring in lawn, gravel or soil.
• Light control and dimming: Adapt the lighting to the season and time of day by connecting a light sensor (twilight relay), manual dimmer (art. 5094) or app-controlled Smart Control (art. 5129).

How to build your 12V LightsOn Garden system

LightsOn Garden is based on a modular low-current principle where you connect the lamps, cables and control yourself without tools.

Choose your fixtures

Combine Polly Bollards with spotlights (e.g. Luna), recessed deck lights or facade fixtures from the same series. All 12V AC components in LightsOn Garden are fully compatible.

Calculate the transformer power

Add up the total wattage of all the lamps in the loop. For optimal operational reliability and long service life, the transformer should be loaded with a maximum of 85% of its specified maximum capacity.

Example:

• 4 Polly Bollards of 5 W each = 20 W
• 4 Luna Spotlights of 5 W each = 20 W
• Total power requirement: 40 W
• Recommended transformer: At least 48 W (choose the nearest standard size, for example 60 W).

Plan cables and branch connections

Run the main line from the transformer and use T-connectors or branch cables where the fixtures are to be placed. The system can be branched up to 50 meters from the transformer without noticeable voltage drop.

Choose automation and control

• Light sensor: Automatically turns the system on at dusk and off at dawn (or after a set timer).
• Smart Control / Dimmer: Placed between the transformer and the lighting group you want to adjust to dim the light level or schedule via mobile app.
