Dimmer Light Control 20W LightsOn

LightsOn manual 12V dimmer (max. 20W) for garden lighting. Smooth Plug & Play with IP65 rating for subdued and atmospheric outdoor lighting.

Description

Adjust the brightness of your outdoor lighting easily and smoothly. With the LightsOn manual dimmer for 12V garden lighting, you get full control over the atmosphere on the patio, in the garden path or among the flowerbeds. Whether you want a functional led light along the wooden deck or subdued, cozy mood lighting for late summer evenings, you can easily adjust the light level directly with the integrated control. The dimmer is installed with Plug & Play quick connection and placed in the cable loop just before the fixtures you want to control.

Benefits & Key Features

  • Optimal mood control: Turn down the brightness of your deck lights, spotlights and ground lights steplessly for a pleasant outdoor environment without glare.
  • Plug & Play installation: No tools or electricians required. Screw the connectors together and adjust with the manual rotary control.
  • Weatherproof construction (IP65): Developed for the Nordic climate. Withstands heavy rain, moisture, snow and cold all year round.
  • Compact design: Small and discreet unit with 33 cm durable rubber cable that can be easily hidden under the deck, in the flowerbed or behind bushes.

Important when installing: Max 20W load

To ensure operational reliability and optimal dimming function, the following applies:

  • Maximum load: The dimmer handles a total lamp power of a maximum of 20 watts.
  • Placement in the loop: Place the dimmer immediately before the lamps you want to dim.
  • Separate loops: Do not connect non-dimmable luminaires or consumers that exceed 20W after the dimmer. If you want to operate more powerful luminaires or more lamps on the same transformer, simply branch off the cable before the dimmer with a T-connector.

Compatible light sources and fixtures

LightsOn 5094 is compatible with a wide range of LightsOn products. Here you can see which models you can control with the dimmer:

  • Bollard: Apollo, Ellipse, Orbit, Quadra, Saturnus
  • Markspot: Astro, Medusa, Sirius
  • Light string: Bliss, Cosy, Glimmer, Ice
  • Decklight: Lynx, Orion, Spectrum, Zenit, Zenit duo
  • Wall lighting: Nero
  • Decorative lighting: Pine
  • Light source: Deco bulb

How the LightsOn 12V Garden System works

LightsOn Garden is a flexible and safe low-voltage system (12 volts) that makes it easy to light your garden without a qualified electrician. All components share the same screw connectors and can be expanded as you go.

Choose your fixtures

Choose ground spotlights for trees and shrubs, decklights for patios and stairs, or bollards for garden paths. All LightsOn fixtures use the same connection standard.

Add up the power (Watts)

Add up the wattage of all the lamps you plan to connect in the system:

  • 4 Luna à 5W = 20W
  • 6 Astro à 3W = 18W
  • Total power requirement: 38W

Choose the right transformer

  • The transformer converts 230V from the wall socket into safe 12V current.
  • For optimal service life, the transformer should be loaded with a maximum of 85% of its maximum capacity.
  • Example: For a power requirement of 38W, a transformer of at least 45W–60W is selected. Feel free to choose a larger model immediately if you want to expand the lighting later.

Run cables and branch

Plan the wiring with extension cables and branch connectors (T-cross). The system can handle a total length of up to 50 meters from the transformer without noticeable voltage drop.

Complete with control and dimmer

  • Lighting automation: Complete with twilight relay / light sensor or app-controlled Smart Control for automatic switching on and off at dusk and dawn.
  • Dimming: Insert this 20W dimmer in the desired section (for example on the patio around the seating area) to dim the lighting when darkness falls.
