CTC Secondary Air Gasket Ceramic
Description
Ceramic gasket for secondary air, specially designed to withstand extremely high operating temperatures in fireplaces, boilers and burner systems. A tight and well-functioning gasket around the secondary air supply is crucial to prevent the system from taking in stray air. By replacing a worn or cracked gasket, you maintain the correct air mixture, optimize efficiency and reduce unnecessary fuel consumption and harmful flue gas emissions.
Main Features And Benefits
- High heat resistance: Made of durable ceramic fiber material with excellent insulation properties that do not crack or deform from thermal stress.
- Exact fit: Designed to original specifications for an airtight and safe installation.
- More efficient combustion: Prevents uncontrolled draft and ensures that secondary air is directed correctly into the combustion zone.
- Long service life: Ceramic material resists abrasion and combustion gases under demanding conditions.
Gasket Secondary Air Ceramic
Replacing Ceramic grate (upper door):
1. Remove the firebox plates (8 pcs) hanging on the sides of the firebox, lift them at the bottom, straight up to loosen them.
2. Remove the cast steel grate (2)
3. Dismantle the fiberglass braid (8) and the stones (3) and (4). Start with the rear one (3). To loosen (4) slide it inwards first, then lift.
Reassembly
4. Always replace both the fiberglass braid (8) and the secondary air gasket (1).
5. Insert the stones as shown. Start with the front one (4), then insert the secondary air gasket (1). Press the stones so that they lie tightly against the front edge (the gasket). Be sure to center the stones laterally so that they are in the middle.
6. Insert the fiberglass braid (8) so that it is securely sealed between the upper and lower combustion chambers. Press it down firmly using a screwdriver or similar.
7. Finally, insert the cast steel grate. NOTE! Make sure that the arrow formation points inwards, see picture.
8. Reinstall the firebox plates.
