Description

Falu Fasad in the color Warm Grey (NCS S 6502-Y20R) represents a new generation of facade paint where modern, proven color chemistry meets Swedish building tradition and classic aesthetics. This alkyd oil-based emulsion paint is specially developed to mimic the beautiful, full-matt and non-reflective luster of traditional mud paint, while adding alkyd oil's superior adhesion, weather resistance and durability. Thanks to its diffusion-open properties, no dense or confining paint film is formed. This allows the wood to breathe and moisture to migrate naturally, which provides long-term and reliable protection against rot, cracking and peeling over time.

One of the biggest advantages of Falu Fasad is its unique versatility regarding substrates. Where regular red paint and traditional slurry paint are strictly limited to unplaned timber or finely sawn timber, Falu Fasad adheres with excellent results to sawn, planed and weather-exposed pressure-impregnated surfaces (that have been outside for at least one year). The paint is therefore the perfect choice for new construction and extensions where modern wooden details should blend harmoniously with older facade sections. It also works excellently for repainting previously slurry-painted surfaces after a simple brushing with a wire brush, provided that no thick paint cakes are loose.

Unlike classic slurry paints, the formula in Falu Fasad is completely non-chalky. This means that the pigment is firmly bonded to the substrate, does not discolour when touched and provides a significantly longer maintenance interval with a cleaner and easier-to-maintain result. Just like traditional facade paint, it works best on lower wooden structures with a protective eaves. For professional contractors and quality-conscious homeowners, the product is also environmentally assessed and registered in the independent BASTA system, which guarantees that it meets the market's strictest requirements regarding environmentally and health-hazardous substances for safe and sustainable construction.
