Description

Herdins Hard Wax Oil Pigmented (White 200) gives your wooden surfaces strong and long-lasting protection while adding a stylish, white-tinted matte finish. The oil penetrates deep into the wood and creates a water and dirt repellent surface that is easy to clean. It is specially developed for indoor wooden surfaces that are exposed to heavy wear, such as parquet floors, countertops, furniture and panels. Made from natural vegetable oils and waxes that take good care of the wood and highlight its natural character.

Instructions for use

Pre-treatment

• Sand the surface of the wood (finish with 120 grit sandpaper) in the direction of the grain.
• Dust thoroughly. The surface must be completely clean, dry and free of old wax, varnish or soap residue.

Application

• Make sure the oil is at room temperature and stir very well.
• Apply two thin coats with a brush, touch-up applicator or scouring pad.
• Important: Wipe off any excess immediately - no excess oil must be left on the surface.
• Let dry for 10 hours before applying the second coat. Let the second coat dry for 12 hours.
• The surface can be polished with a polishing cloth or white scouring pad for a slightly shinier finish.

Maintenance & Cleaning

• Daily cleaning is done with lukewarm water and Herdins Linseed Oil Soap.
• When the surface feels rough or worn: Sand lightly with fine sandpaper and apply a new coat of hard wax oil.

Important to consider

• Spontaneous ignition risk: The product contains drying oils. Soak used rags, sponges and steel wool in water or burn them immediately after use.
• Mix the batch: When using multiple cans, check that they have the same batch number or mix them together before you start.
• Pigmentation: Never finish with a clear hard wax oil on top of a pigmented oil. Instead, mix pigmented and clear oil if you want a lighter shade and apply two coats of the mixture.
