Induction Plate 2000W 220-240V Emerio
Description
Cooking with a portable induction hob is both fast, energy-efficient and safe. To get the most out of your hob, it is important to use the right cookware and understand how the appliance's smart functions work. Here we have compiled everything you need to know about approved containers and step-by-step instructions for use.
Cookware guide
Induction technology requires magnetic materials to generate heat. Here is the list of what you can – and can’t – use on your hob:
1. Approved pans and pots
For best results, cookware should have a flat bottom and a bottom diameter between 10 and 26 cm. The following materials work great:
- Steel and stainless steel
- Cast iron
- Enameled iron
2. Unusable materials (Does not work)
Cookware made of the following materials or shapes will not be heated by the hob:
- Heat-resistant glass and ceramic
- Copper and aluminum
- Rounded pans/pots
- Pots with a bottom diameter of less than 10 cm
Tip: Not sure if your favorite pan will work? Place a regular refrigerator magnet against the bottom. If the magnet sticks, the pan can be used on the induction hob!
How to use your induction hob: Step-by-step
Follow these simple steps for safe and easy cooking:
- Place the pan correctly: Place a suitable cookware in the centre of the hob plate.
- Connect the power: Insert the plug into the wall socket. The display now shows "Off" and the indicator light for the on/off button flashes.
- Start the hob: Press the on/off button. The display changes to "On" and the indicator light is constantly lit.
- Select a function: Press the function button to select the cooking mode that suits your cooking.
- Switch off safely: Press the on/off button after use. The display shows "Off" again and the light flashes.
Note: The fan at the bottom will continue to run for a while to cool down the appliance. Only unplug the hob once it has cooled down.
Smart safety features (Auto stop)
- Automatic stand-by: If you turn the hob on (On) but do not do anything for 1 minute, the appliance will beep and automatically switch off.
- Safety timer: If the hob is on for 2 hours without you pressing any button, it will switch off automatically to prevent dry cooking. If you have set the manual timer, the hob will switch off according to your selected settings.
