Installation tips for Sliding Door Bowl Diameter 50mm

• Measure and mark carefully: Determine the appropriate height of the door leaf and mark the center line with a pencil to ensure that the bowl ends up straight and at the right distance from the door edge.
• Check the routing dimensions before drilling: The outer diameter is 50 mm, but the recess cup itself usually has a slightly smaller diameter and a specific depth. Measure the recess dimensions of the back with a caliper before you start making the cut.
• Use the right tool: Drill the cut with a center drill, Forstner drill or a hand router with the right diameter. A Forstner drill gives the cleanest cut and a flat bottom in the hole.
• Drill in stages and use a depth stop: Tape the drill or use a mechanical depth stop so that you do not drill too deep or risk penetrating the opposite side of the door leaf.
• Clean the cut: Remove chips and sanding dust from the hole so that the sliding door cup bottoms evenly against the wooden surface.
• Test fit dry: Press in the bowl without adhesive first to verify that the flange is completely tight against the front of the door and does not play.
• Fixing and assembly: If the bowl is mounted with adhesive/sealant: Apply a thin layer of setting adhesive (e.g. silicone, assembly adhesive or contact adhesive) to the bottom and along the sides of the hole, press the bowl in place and immediately wipe off any excess adhesive with a damp cloth. If the bowl has internal screw holes/pins: Attach according to the manufacturer's instructions with the supplied small screws or fixing pins.
• Allow to cure: Allow the adhesive to cure completely according to the adhesive manufacturer's drying time before the door is put into active use, especially if the door slides into a narrow wall pocket (pocket frame).
