Herdins Stain Clear Aqua Semi-Matte is a high-quality, water-based clear coat developed to provide maximum protection and a stylish, semi-gloss finish for indoor wooden surfaces. The varnish is especially adapted as a top coat over stained surfaces, but works just as well directly on clean wood surfaces where you want to preserve the wood's natural grain and structure.

Thanks to the modern, water-based formula, Stain Clear Aqua is almost odorless and gentle on both the indoor environment and the user. It forms a durable, dirt- and water-repellent film with excellent mechanical wear resistance. With its strong adhesion properties, the varnish adheres securely to both new wood and previously varnished or treated surfaces.

Application guide

• Preparation: Make sure the surface is clean, dry and free of grease and sanding dust. If the surface has been previously stained, the stain must be completely dry before varnishing.
• Intermediate sanding: Sand lightly with fine sandpaper (grain 240–320) between coats and wipe off the dust carefully for an even and smooth final finish.
• Application: Stir the varnish well before use (do not shake vigorously to avoid air bubbles). Apply an even and thin layer along the grain of the wood.
• Layers: For optimal protection and durability, 2–3 coats are recommended.
