Assembly tips

• Check the lock housing's handle: Ensure that the inner door's lock housing has a socket for a toilet handle (usually an 8x8 mm or 5x5 mm handle with an included adapter sleeve) and holes for a through screw.
• Remove previous fittings: Unscrew and remove any existing key plate or old toilet handle on both sides of the door.
• Cut screws and dowel pins if necessary: Measure the thickness of the door leaf (usually 38–42 mm on standard interior doors). Cut the through screws and square pins with a hacksaw if they are too long for the thickness of the door.
• Align knobs and cover plates: Place the knob on the inside and the emergency release plate/indicator on the outside. Make sure the square pin is centered through the lock housing.
• Screw through and straight: Insert the through screws from the inside (or as directed) through the door leaf and lock housing mounting holes into the threads on the opposite side.
• Avoid power tightening: Tighten the screws by hand with a suitable manual screwdriver to avoid damaging the threads, the PVD surface or pulling the knob at an angle.
• Test the function before closing the door: Turn the toilet knob with the door open to ensure that the latch piston is pushed out and pulled in completely smoothly without jamming, and test that the emergency opening on the outside works as intended.
