Maintaining an even and comfortable temperature indoors is crucial for both well-being and housing economy. When choosing products within radiators and heaters, there are several factors that influence which option is the most optimal for your space. By adapting the choice to the size of the room, insulation and existing electrical systems, you will get effective heating that will last for many years.

Important things to consider before your purchase

Before you decide on a specific radiator, there are some technical aspects that are crucial for the installation to work correctly.

Firstly, you need to check the voltage in your electrical system. We offer models for both 230V, which is standard for regular plugs, and 400V which is often used in fixed installations in older or dedicated heating systems. A fixed electrical installation of 400V radiators should always be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Secondly, you need to calculate the correct power (watts) based on the size and insulation capacity of the room. As a general rule of thumb, approximately 60–70 watts per square meter is needed in a normally insulated Nordic home, but in older houses or poorly insulated spaces such as garages, more power may be required to achieve the desired temperature.

Areas of use and placement

Radiators are most often installed under windows to counteract cold drafts, which is the chilly draft that occurs when warm indoor air meets cold window panes. By placing the element there, the cold air is directly broken and spread as comfortable heat in the room. Smart, thin electric radiators are ideal for living rooms and bedrooms, while the robust oil-filled models or fan convectors are excellent choices for summer cottages, storage rooms or extensions where you want a stable and reliable heat source all year round.
