Description

The CTC EcoPart 406 is a robust and quiet on/off heat pump in a very compact format, developed for connection to a closed brine circuit via geothermal, ground source or sea heat. With the same high performance and efficiency as the CTC EcoHeat, this model delivers reliable basic heating without a built-in water heater or integrated control system. This makes it an excellent solution for properties where ceiling height is limited or where an existing system is to be supplemented with modern heat pump technology.

Flexible control and versatile system integration

The CTC EcoPart 406 is flexible and designed to be easily connected to either a newly built heating system or an existing system. The unit is controlled via external modules that provide full adaptability to the needs of the property:

• Control via indoor module: Combine the CTC EcoPart 406 with the CTC EcoZenith i255L or CTC EcoZenith i360L indoor modules to create a complete heat pump with integrated control and hot water preparation, optimally adapted to spaces with low ceiling heights.
• Large hot water demand: For high hot water requirements, the heat pump can be connected to the CTC EcoZenith i550 Pro multi-tank, which provides a hot water capacity of over 600 liters of 40-degree hot water.
• Complementing an existing system: When docking to an existing installation, the CTC EcoLogic L or CTC EcoLogic M control module can be used, which also enables the operation of up to ten heat pumps if the energy requirement increases. It also works with CTC Basic control and with CTC EcoEl V3 together with the CTC Converter accessory. Reported efficiency for heating systems applies together with the CTC EcoLogic control unit.

High efficiency and flow temperature

Thanks to innovative cooling technology with electronic expansion valve, A-class brine pump and a quiet scroll compressor, the CTC EcoPart 406 can achieve energy savings of up to 80 percent. The heat pump can produce up to 65 °C flow temperature, which is well suited for radiators and heating systems that require higher flow temperatures. The built-in soft start function minimizes starting currents and ensures stable operation.

Easy and convenient installation

The brine system on the CTC EcoPart 406 offers connection options on the right, left, top or back of the heat pump. The flexible piping makes installation considerably easier in confined boiler rooms and basements. The unit is intended for closed collector circuits in the ground, rock or lake and is not suitable for open brine systems in groundwater.
