Description
NIBE EBV-112 (EBV 112 VX) is a reliable two-stage electronic power monitor and load monitor developed for villas, townhouses and properties with electric heating or exhaust air heat pump. The unit ensures stable and safe operation by actively protecting the property's electrical system against overload during temporary power peaks.
Optimal overload protection for the home's main fuses
When several household appliances are running at the same time as the heating system requires additional electricity, the total power consumption can quickly exceed the capacity of the property's electricity subscription. NIBE EBV-112 detects the instantaneous current strength via the included current transformers. If the current exceeds the set limit value, the power monitor automatically disconnects the heating system's immersion heater stages in two separate stages, which prevents the main fuse from tripping. When other electricity consumption in the property decreases, the electric stages are reconnected gradually.
Energy-efficient operation and secure energy management
By balancing the home's power consumption, the risk of costly fuse replacements and downtime in the middle of winter is minimized. A well-adjusted load monitor also makes it possible to optimize the fuse size of the subscription without compromising heating comfort or hot water availability.
Compatibility and installation
The unit is specifically designed for seamless integration with a range of proven electric boilers and exhaust air heat pumps from NIBE. EBV-112 is supplied complete with wired current sensors that are mounted around the incoming phase conductors at the electrical distribution board for direct and precise measurement.
