Choosing a steatite element

Unlike traditional immersion heaters that are placed directly in the water, a steatite element is pushed into a dry tube (immersion tube) in the tank. Since the ceramic element never comes into direct contact with the domestic water, it is effectively protected against limescale deposits and direct corrosion. This is particularly crucial in enamelled containers where a correctly adapted element is required to guarantee operational reliability and maintain the corrosion protection of the water heater.
