Installation tips for Beslagboden Toilet handle (50 mm)

• Check door thickness: Make sure that the thickness of the door matches the length of the included through-bolt screws and the rower pin (square pin). Cut the screws or pin with a hacksaw if necessary.
• Remove existing washer: Loosen and remove the old key plate or existing toilet handle on both sides of the door.
• Clean the contact surface: Wipe the door leaf around the holes so that the rosettes fit tightly against the surface without scratching the door leaf or leaving gaps.
• Align the rudder pin: Insert the rudder pin through the lock box rudder (the lower square hole for the toilet lock). Make sure the pin is centered and moves freely.
• Align the knob and red/white indicator: Place the knob on the inside and the cover plate with emergency release/indicator on the outside. Check that the lock turns to the locked position when the knob points vertically/horizontally as desired.
• Install the through screws: Insert the through screws from the inside through the lock box's through mounting holes and thread them into the counterpart on the outside.
• Tighten the screws alternately: Tighten evenly by hand with a screwdriver instead of a strong screwdriver to avoid skewing or damaging the polished chrome surface.
• Function test before closing: Turn the knob several times with the door open to check that the locking bolt moves smoothly and that the emergency release groove on the outside works smoothly with a coin or slotted screwdriver.
