Installation tips

• Prepare the door: Unscrew and remove any existing key plate or old toilet knob on both sides of the door leaf. Clean the door surface around the screw holes from dust and dirt.
• Check dimensions and pins: Insert the square pin (rower pin) through the lock case. Check that the pin fits the thickness of the door. If the pin is too long, simply cut it with a hacksaw so that it does not bottom out in the mechanism.
• Align inside and outside: Place the toilet handle on the inside of the toilet and the emergency disc (the emergency opening notch) on the outside of the door. Make sure both sides are straight and aligned with the handle above.
• Install with through-bolt: Thread the included through-bolts through the screw holes and secure them in the corresponding sleeves/screw holes on the opposite side. Cut the screws if necessary if the door is thinner than the full length of the screws.
• Tighten evenly by hand: Use a hand screwdriver instead of a heavy-duty screwdriver. Tighten the screws alternately and carefully so that the handle is properly centered without pinching the brushed chrome finish or the locking mechanism.
• Function test with open door: Always turn the lock back and forth several times while the door is open to ensure that the lock bolt moves easily and that the emergency release on the outside works without resistance before closing the door.
