NIBE EKS 500 Accumulator Tank

Description

The NIBE EKS 500 is a high-performance accumulator tank with a large water tank of 492 liters, developed to function as a pure accumulator for hot water. The tank can be conveniently connected in combination with a charge exchanger and offers flexible backup options via an immersion heater. The design is specially designed for properties and facilities with high instantaneous tap water flows or recurring large bursts of water over short periods of time. By storing large amounts of thermal energy, the unit enables the total installed power of the system to be kept low, which provides balanced operation and lowers the property's overall power requirement.

Durable corrosion protection and robust construction

The interior of the NIBE EKS 500 is provided with proven corrosion protection made of high-quality copper. The single-jacketed steel construction with copper lining ensures exceptional resistance to corrosion and a long technical life. The vessel is dimensioned for a maximum permissible operating pressure of 10 bar and handles temperatures up to 90 °C, which guarantees reliable hot water preparation even under demanding operating conditions.

Energy-efficient insulation with easy handling

The accumulator tank is insulated with a modern and environmentally friendly insulation material that effectively minimizes heat loss and meets the requirements for energy efficiency class C. To facilitate transport, carrying in and installation in tight spaces, the outer insulation is completely removable. This makes placement smooth and flexible regardless of the property's conditions.

Flexible connections and docking options

The tank is equipped with generous connection dimensions, including G50 for cold water, hot water and immersion heater installation, as well as G32 for heat exchanger docking and G20 for VVC (hot water circulation). In addition, there are dedicated connections for thermometers, pressure gauges and thermostats. This versatility makes it easy to dock the unit to both heat pump systems and other external heat sources.
