Description

Create an elegant and durable surface in your home with Herdins Floor Lacquer Ultramatt (3 L). This is a water-based 1-component lacquer from the new generation of floor treatments, developed to withstand tough stress and heavy wear in the home environment. The ultra-matt finish (approx. 10 in gloss value) provides natural, invisible protection that highlights the natural structure of the wood while protecting against stains, liquid and everyday wear.

The varnish has a unique composition that does not yellow over time and is just as suitable for completely new, clean wooden surfaces as for previously treated floors or surfaces stained with Herdins Oil Stain. Since the product is water-based and odorless, it creates a pleasant working environment during application. You do not need special machines - application is easy with a short-haired roller, pad or varnish spatula.

• Effective coverage: 1 liter is enough for 8–10 m² per layer (a total of about 24–30 m² per 3-liter can).
• Fast working process: Can be painted over after about 2 hours (at 20°C). Withstands light load after just 24 hours and reaches full wear resistance after about 4 days.

How to apply Herdins Floor Lacquer

Preparation

• Clean wooden floors: Sand lightly with sandpaper (grit size 120). Vacuum and dry the surface completely clean.
• Previously varnished floors: Remove wax/polish. Sand lightly with grain size 120 and vacuum thoroughly. (Always do a test varnish to test adhesion).

Application

• Tools: Use varnish putty, pad or a short-haired roller and brush.
• Temperature: Ensure good ventilation and ensure that the room and varnish are at 14–28°C (optimally 20°C).
• Layers: Apply 2–3 thin layers to clean wooden floors (1–2 layers on previously varnished floors). Sand lightly between coats with sandpaper (grit 180) for best results. Apply the last coat in a flowing manner.

Care and furnishing

• Furniture: Light furniture can be put back after 24 hours. Wait at least 4 days before placing heavy furniture or carpets on the floor.
• Cleaning: Vacuum or wipe with a well-wrung cloth and a neutral detergent. Wipe up spills immediately.
