Floor Lacquer Aqua Semi-Gloss 3L Gloss 50 Herdins
Description
Herdins Floor Lacquer combines efficiency and simplicity with durability and quality. As a modern, water-borne 1-component lacquer, it offers an exceptional surface that withstands everyday wear, spills and stress - without compromising the natural charm and feel of the wood.
With a semi-gloss finish (approx. 50 gloss units), your floor gets just the right shine that lifts the room's design and harmonizes with the wood's grain. The lacquer is ideal for home environments where both function, aesthetics and easy cleaning are in focus.

Preparation based on substrate
Clean wooden floors
- Sanding: Sand the floor lightly with sandpaper (grit 120) for optimal adhesion.
- Cleaning: Vacuum and wipe away all sanding dust carefully. The surface should be completely dry and dust-free.
- Mixing: Shake or stir the varnish thoroughly and let air bubbles sink away.
- Application: Apply 2–3 thin coats with at least 2 hours drying time between each coat.
- Intermediate sanding: Sand lightly between coats with sandpaper (grit 180) for a completely smooth surface.
Previously varnished floors
- Adhesion test: Always check adhesion on a small area before starting.
- Cleaning: Carefully remove any residue of wax, polish and other grease stains.
- Sanding: Sand the surface lightly with sandpaper (grit 120) and remove all dust.
- Application: Apply 1–2 thin coats of Herdins Floor Varnish. Note: Curing time may be slightly longer when repainting. Avoid heavy wear during the first 4 weeks.
Application tips & Safety
- Tools: Use a paint spatula or a short-haired roller and a brush. The last coat should be applied smoothly for a smooth result.
- Temperature: Ensure that both the paint and the substrate maintain a temperature of 14–28°C (optimally 20°C).
- Protection: Ensure good ventilation. Wear safety glasses and gloves and protect nearby surfaces from splashes.
- Test painting: Always perform a test painting on a hidden surface to ensure the desired appearance and adhesion.
Care, Storage & Waste
