Herdins Ceiling & Panel Extra White (1 L) – a high-quality, water-based and drip-free wood stain specially developed for both untreated and previously varnished softwood indoors. This popular stain is the perfect choice for easily refreshing old, yellowed wooden surfaces and giving them a beautiful, bright and satin finish where the wood's natural grain and structure are still stylishly highlighted.

User Instructions & Application

Pre-treatment

• The surface should be completely dry and well cleaned.
• Clean wooden surfaces: Sand with sandpaper (grain 120–150) in the direction of the wood grain.
• Previously varnished / yellowed panels: Clean with painter's wash or a grease-dissolving alkaline cleaner. Always rinse thoroughly with clean water. If the varnish peels, the surface should be sanded.
• Tip: Always check the shade and adhesion on a less visible surface before starting.

Application

• Stir the glaze thoroughly and let it rest for a few minutes.
• If you use several cans of the same color, mix them together in a larger container to avoid differences in shade or gloss.
• Apply with a soft varnish brush. Work systematically in the lengthwise direction of the wood, 2–3 boards at a time (never finish in the middle of a board).
• Always apply 2 coats and let dry for at least 12 hours between coats.

Tool Cleaning, Handling & Waste

• Cleaning: Wipe off brushes and tools carefully. Clean with water and soap.
• Handling & Storage: Avoid spills and contact with skin and eyes. Store frost-free.
• Waste management: Hand over for recycling (empty/cleaned packaging) or local waste disposal station (product residues).
• REMEMBER: Do not use knot varnish before treatment with Herdins Tak & Panel. Mixing several cans ensures a completely even color result over the entire surface!
