Herdins Roof & Panel Full White (1 L) is an eco-labeled, water-based and drip-free wood stain specially developed for untreated or previously varnished softwood indoors. The stain effectively reduces and prevents both yellowing and knot bleeding. One of the biggest advantages is that you don't have to use knot varnish before treatment, which saves both time and money. The unique formula highlights the wood's natural grain and structure while covering it with a silky white tone. Instructions & Step-by-step

Pre-treatment

• The panel should be completely dry and well cleaned before you start.
• Clean wood surfaces: Sand in the direction of the wood grain with sandpaper (grain size 120–150).
• Previously varnished/yellowed panel: Clean thoroughly with painter's wash or a grease-dissolving alkaline cleaner. Important: Always wash the surface with clean water.
• If the old varnish has started to peel, complete sanding is recommended.
• Always do a test on a less visible surface to check the shade and adhesion.

Application

• Stir the glaze thoroughly in the can and let it rest for a few minutes.
• If you are using several cans of the same color, mix them together in a larger container to avoid differences in shade and gloss.
• Apply the glaze with a soft paint brush.
• Work systematically in the lengthwise direction of the wood, 2–3 boards at a time. Never finish in the middle of a board.
• Always apply 2 coats and let dry for at least 12 hours between coats.

Tool Cleaning, Storage & Waste

• Cleaning: Wipe off brushes and tools thoroughly. Then clean immediately with water and soap.
• Handling & Storage: Avoid spillage and contact with skin and eyes. Store frost-free.
• Waste management: Empty and well-cleaned packaging is sorted as plastic recycling. Any liquid product residues are left at your local waste disposal station.

Things to consider

• Do not use knot varnish before treating with Herdins Tak & Panel.
• Always mix several cans of the same color before painting to ensure a completely even result.
