Roof And Panel Paint Full White 3L Herdins
Description
Herdins Roof & Panel Full White (3 liters) is an eco-labeled, water-based and drip-free stain developed for untreated or previously varnished softwood indoors. It is ideal for giving old, yellowed wooden surfaces and panels a fresh, satin-matt and beautiful white appearance while highlighting the wood's natural grain and structure.
The product has a protective formula that both prevents and reduces yellowing and knot bleeding. A big advantage is that you do not need to use knot varnish before treatment. Thanks to its drip-free consistency, the glaze is easy to spread and extremely popular for ceiling painting – equally appreciated by professional painters and DIYers.
Advantages of Herdins Tak & Panel Helvit
- Prevents yellowing and knot bleeding: Contains UV protection that prevents discoloration and seals knots without the need to use knot varnish.
- Drip-free formula: Smudge-free application that is perfectly adapted for ceilings and standing wooden panels.
- Renewes old wood: Gives aged and yellowed wood a fresh, bright and satin surface while highlighting the natural grain.
- High coverage: Covers up to approx. 12 m²/L on previously varnished wood and 5–8 m²/L on clean wood surfaces (with two coats).
- Easy cleaning: Water-borne and eco-labelled – tools and brushes are easily cleaned with soap and water.
- Versatile: Suitable for both untreated and previously varnished softwood indoors.
Instructions for use
Pre-treatment
- Make sure the panel is completely dry and well cleaned before starting work.
- Clean wood surfaces: Sand in the direction of the wood grain with sandpaper (grit size 120–150).
- Previously varnished / yellowed panel: Clean thoroughly with paint remover or a grease-dissolving alkaline cleaner. Important: Always wash the surface with clean water regardless of which paint remover you use. If the varnish has started to peel, sanding is recommended.
- Test first: Always check the shade and adhesion on a less visible area before starting the entire project.
Application
- Stir the glaze thoroughly and let it rest for a few minutes.
- If you use several cans of the same color, mix them together before application to avoid differences in gloss and shade.
- Apply the glaze with a soft paint brush. Work systematically in the lengthwise direction of the wood, 2–3 boards at a time. Never finish the coating in the middle of a board.
- Always treat the surface 2 times with at least 12 hours of drying time between coats.
Important to remember
- Do not use knot varnish before treating with Herdins Tak & Panel.
- Always mix several cans of the same color together before starting the treatment for an even result.
Cleaning tools
Wipe brushes and other tools thoroughly. Then clean them with soap and water.
