Roof And Panel Paint White 3L Herdins
Description
Herdins Ceiling & Panel White 3L is an eco-labelled, water-borne and drip-free wood stain specially developed for ceilings and panels made of softwood indoors. The product gives old and yellowed surfaces a beautiful, bright and satin finish while highlighting the wood's natural grain and structure in a stylish way.
The stain is developed to make painting work as smooth as possible - its drip-free properties make it extremely popular, especially for ceiling painting, appreciated by both professional painters and DIYers.
Advantages of Herdins Tak & Panel
- Prevents yellowing & knot bleeding: The glaze prevents, reduces and slows down both yellowing and knot bleeding over time.
- No knot varnish needed: You do not need to use knot varnish before treating with Tak & Panel.
- Versatile substrate: Works great on both untreated/clean wood and previously varnished wood.
- Eco-labeled & easy to work with: Contains water, acrylate binder, titanium dioxide and UV protection for a durable and environmentally friendly result.
Instructions for use & Application
Pre-treatment
- Cleaning: The panel should be completely dry and well cleaned before you start.
- Clean wood surfaces: Sand with sandpaper grain 120–150 in the direction of the wood grain before treatment.
- Previously varnished & yellowed panel: Clean with paint remover or a grease-dissolving alkaline cleaner. Regardless of which paint remover is used, the surface should always be washed with clean water.
- Peeling varnish: If the previous varnish has started to peel, sanding is recommended.
- Test application: Always check the shade and adhesion on a less visible surface before you start.
Application
- Stir the varnish thoroughly and let it rest for a few minutes.
- Mixing cans: If you have purchased several packages of the same color, mix them together before treatment to even out any differences in gloss and shade.
- Apply the varnish with a soft varnish brush.
- Work systematically in the lengthwise direction of the wood with 2–3 boards at a time. Never finish in the middle of a board.
- Always treat 2 times and let dry for at least 12 hours between coats.
Cleaning, Handling & Environment
- Cleaning of tools: Thoroughly wipe off brushes and other utensils. Then clean them with soap and water.
- Handling & Storage: Avoid spillage, skin and eye contact. Store frost-free.
- Waste management: Empty and cleaned packaging is sent to packaging recycling. Any product residues are sent to the environmental station.
REMEMBER!
- You should not use knot varnish before treatment with Herdins Tak & Panel.
- Always mix several cans of the same color together in advance for a completely even end result.
