Description

CTC EcoAir 420 is a powerful and reliable outdoor unit in CTC's well-known EcoAir 400 series, developed to cope with harsh Nordic climate conditions with the highest efficiency. With a nominal heating capacity of 17.6 kW and an impressive COP of 4.62 at 7/35 °C (according to EN 14511), this air/water heat pump offers an efficient heating solution for larger villas, apartment buildings or smaller commercial properties. The system can reduce annual heating costs by up to 70 percent without requiring energy holes in the rock or loops in the ground.

High performance and reliable operation in Nordic climate

The design is based on a quiet scroll compressor and an aerodynamic, sound-absorbing fan that provides stable heat supply even in severe cold down to -22 °C, while being able to produce supply temperatures of up to 65 °C. The heat pump is equipped with demand-controlled automatic defrosting that keeps defrosting cycles to an absolute minimum, which maximizes heat output, increases the annual heat transfer coefficient (SCOP 3.9) and extends the life of the equipment. An integrated condensation tray is also included as standard to prevent ice formation under the unit.

Flexible control and smooth integration

The CTC EcoAir 420 can be smoothly integrated into both newly produced heating systems and existing systems:

• Indoor modules: Works optimally together with the indoor modules in the CTC EcoZenith series. For extensive hot water needs, the heat pump can be connected to the CTC EcoZenith i555 Pro multi-tank, which delivers over 600 liters of hot water.
• Existing systems: Can be connected to wood boilers, pellet systems or existing boilers via the CTC EcoLogic Pro or CTC EcoLogic Family control modules, which can manage and monitor up to four separate heating circuits, solar heating, pool and peak heating. For larger energy needs, up to ten units can be operated together in cascade.
• More control options: Compatible with CTC BasicDisplay and older CTC EcoEl V3 when using CTC Converter.

Robust design and technical quality

The outer casing is made of galvanized and painted steel sheet combined with impact-resistant ABS plastic in a stylish dark gray and black finish. The IPX4 protection class guarantees reliable protection against weather and wind in all seasons. The pipe connection has a dimension of 28 mm, which facilitates quick and correct installation by a qualified installer.
