Description

CTC EcoAir 408 is a reliable and highly efficient air/water heat pump for outdoor placement, designed to offer stable heating and hot water in Nordic climates. As one of Sweden's most sought-after designs, the model combines modern technology with quiet operation and high efficiency. The heat pump extracts energy directly from the outdoor air, which means a smooth transition to energy-efficient heating without the need for boreholes or ground loops.

High efficiency and reliable operation all year round

The heat pump is developed to handle demanding weather conditions and delivers comfortable heat down to -22 °C and produces flow temperatures of up to 65 °C for hot water and heating systems. The integrated scroll compressor works together with a sound-absorbing fan design, which provides balanced and quiet operation. CTC EcoAir 408 has a nominal heating capacity of 7.8 kW at 7/35 °C (EN 14511), an efficiency with COP of 4.83 and a seasonal coefficient of performance (SCOP) of 3.9 in energy class A++. The model can reduce heating costs by up to 70%.

Demand-controlled defrosting and well-thought-out design

To optimize the output and extend the service life of the components, CTC EcoAir 408 has automatic, demand-controlled defrosting that keeps defrosting to a minimum. The outdoor unit is supplied as standard with a built-in condensation tray that effectively drains away melt water. The housing is made of galvanized and painted steel sheet in dark gray and black, which provides durable protection against moisture and wind according to protection class IPX4.

Flexible control and system integration

CTC EcoAir 408 is ideal for modernizing an existing heating system, for example as a cost-effective complement to wood or pellets, or for direct replacement of a previous outdoor unit. For optimal functionality and monitoring, the unit is connected to one of the indoor modules CTC EcoZenith i250, i350 or i550. For extra large domestic hot water needs, the multi-tank CTC EcoZenith i555 Pro also works excellently.

If integration with an existing system is desired, CTC EcoLogic Pro or CTC EcoLogic Family can be used to monitor and coordinate heat pumps, peak heating, solar panels or buffer tanks. The unit also supports CTC Basic control, as well as CTC EcoEl V3 when using the CTC Converter accessory.
