Description

LK Wet Zone Hatch Preseal UNI is a specially developed waterproofing hatch for safe installation in wet zones. The hatch is equipped with an integrated, prefabricated foil flange that guarantees a tight and reliable connection to the wall's waterproofing system. The product is thoroughly tested and approved for installation in wet zones (however, not in direct placement for baths and showers).

This wet zone hatch is easily mounted against a distribution cabinet or directly into the building frame, and is supplied complete with mounting accessories for both options. Parts that are mounted firmly into the wall are made of durable stainless steel, while the other components consist of white-painted galvanized sheet steel in the color RAL 9016. The outer frame is flexibly adjustable between 3–13 mm to provide a perfect, even fit in line with the wall surface.

• Prefabricated foil flange: Equipped with a 60 mm wide flange and a 50 mm wide prefabricated foil flange for effective splicing against approved waterproofing layers.
• Flexible mounting: Can be mounted against a distribution cabinet or into the building frame (accessories for both mounting methods are included).
• Adjustable frame: The outer frame can be finely adjusted between 3–13 mm for precise adaptation to the wall tiles or surface.
• Durable materials: Wall-mounted parts in stainless steel and other parts in galvanized sheet steel (white RAL 9016).
• Design choice and completion: Completed with LK Tileable Design Preseal (for invisible installation under tiles) or LK Standard Design Preseal (white-lacquered sheet metal hatch).

Application area and waterproofing compatibility

LK Wet Zone Hatch Preseal UNI is designed to meet high demands for water safety in modern wet room installations.

• Approved waterproofing layers: System-approved brands of waterproofing layers and specific installation instructions for connection to the foil flange are specified in the accompanying documentation.
• Limitations: The product is adapted for foil waterproofing layers. There are no testing methods or adapted products for connection to plastic mats, which is why the hatch is not intended for installation with plastic mats as a surface layer.

Assembly advice and measurement recommendations

To ensure correct function and simplify installation, the following guidelines should be followed:

• Building depth: Requires a free building depth of at least 65 mm calculated from the outside of the wet room panel to the front edge of the distribution cabinet or installation (e.g. LK Shaft Bottom SECURE).
• Parallel installation: When installing two wet zone hatches next to each other, a distance of at least 150 mm is recommended between the cabinets.
• Corner installation: When installing near corners, a distance of at least 100 mm to the cabinet is recommended.
• Drilling: A detailed table with dimensions for drilling can be found in the installation instructions.
