Description

LK Wet Zone Hatch Preseal UNI offers a professional and watertight solution for installing distribution cabinets in wet room environments. The hatch is equipped with a 60 mm wide metal flange and a prefabricated 50 mm wide foil flange, which guarantees a safe and watertight transition to the wall's waterproofing. The product is tested and approved for placement in wet zones (however, not in direct connection to a bath or shower).

Flexible assembly and adaptation

The wet zone hatch can be mounted either directly against the LK Distribution Cabinet or in the building frame, and the necessary accessories for both mounting methods are included in delivery. The outer frame can be easily adjusted between 3 mm and 13 mm to create a smooth and stylish connection that blends in exactly with the finished surface of the wall.

Material and durability

The parts of the wet zone hatch that are fixed to the wall are made of high-quality stainless steel for maximum corrosion resistance. Other components consist of galvanized steel sheet in a stylish white color (RAL 9016). For optimal product life, the component should be stored in a temperate and frost-free environment.

Important Assembly Instructions and Dimension Recommendations

1. Construction depth: Requires a free construction depth of at least 65 mm calculated from the outside of the wet room panel to the front edge of the LK Distribution Cabinet or other installation (for example LK Shaft Bottom SECURE).
2. Placement with multiple cabinets: When installing two wet zone hatches next to each other, a distance of at least 150 mm is recommended between the cabinets.
3. Placement in corners: When installing near corners, a distance of at least 100 mm to the cabinet is recommended.
4. Waterproofing: Connection must be made according to the applicable installation instructions and with system-approved waterproofing products. Note: The product is not suitable for installation with plastic mat as a surface layer, as there is no testing method for foil flange against plastic mat on the market.
5. Completion: The wet zone hatch is completed with an exterior hatch, either LK Tileable Design Preseal (for integrated tiling) or LK Standard Design Preseal (white-lacquered sheet metal hatch).
