Description

LK Wet Zone Hatch Preseal UNI is a specially developed, tight-closing wet zone hatch designed for optimal water safety and stylish integration in modern wet rooms. The hatch is equipped with a prefabricated 50 mm wide foil flange mounted on a 60 mm wide stainless steel flange, which guarantees a reliable and approved connection to the room's waterproofing. It is approved for placement in wet zones (however, not directly in the bath or shower area).

Function and Areas of Application

LK Wet Zone Hatch Preseal UNI is adapted for easy installation together with most of LK Systems' popular cabinets:

  • Water meter cabinet: UNI 8/6 and UNI 8/6 CS
  • Manifold cabinet: GV 550
  • Shunt cabinet: M60n XL

The hatch can be mounted directly to the manifold cabinet or anchored to the building frame. Accessories for both mounting options are included in delivery. The outer frame is continuously adjustable between 3–13 mm to provide a perfect finish level with the wall's finished surface layer.

Please note: The hatch is intended for foil waterproofing. There is currently no test method for connection to plastic mat, which is why the product is not adapted for plastic mat as a surface layer. A current list of system-approved waterproofing products and detailed installation instructions are available in the accompanying documentation.

Design and Completion

For a complete installation, the wet zone hatch is completed with the desired exterior hatch based on the aesthetic needs of the room:

  • LK Tileable Design Preseal: Exterior hatch adapted for the installation of ceramic tiles for an invisible and stylish result.
  • LK Standard Design Preseal: White-painted steel sheet (RAL 9016) for a stylish and classic surface finish.

Technical Specifications

  • Model/Design: 550x710
  • External dimensions (W x H x D): 668 x 828 x 52 mm
  • Flange width: 60 mm stainless steel flange with 50 mm prefabricated foil flange
  • Material: Fixed wall details in stainless steel, other components in galvanized sheet steel (powder coated white, RAL 9016)
  • Building depth: Requires a free building depth of at least 65 mm from the outside of the wet room panel to the front edge of the distribution cabinet or installation (e.g. LK Shaft Bottom SECURE)
  • Installation distance: When installing two doors next to each other, a minimum of 150 mm is recommended between the cabinets. When placing in a corner, a minimum of 100 mm distance to the wall is recommended.
  • Storage: Should be stored in a temperate and frost-free environment.
