Description

LK Wet Zone Hatch Preseal 450x550 is a high-quality and tight wet zone hatch developed for professional and safe wet room installations. The wet zone hatch is equipped with a 60 mm wide flange where a prefabricated 50 mm wide foil flange is mounted. The design is tested and approved for use in wet areas (although not directly in the bath or shower area), which guarantees reliable protection against moisture and water damage.

Versatile installation and compatibility

The product is adapted for installation together with LK Manifold Cabinet UNI 450 and LK Shunt Cabinet M60n. It can be mounted either directly to the manifold cabinet or in the building frame, and all necessary accessories for both mounting methods are included in delivery.

The outer frame can be easily adjusted between 3 and 13 mm so that the door is exactly level with the wall surface.

Important installation instructions and recommendations

• Sealing layer and brand: A current list of system-approved brands of sealing layer and connection instructions can be found in the installation instructions. Please note that there is no test method for connecting the foil flange to the plastic mat; the product is therefore not suitable for installation with plastic mat as a surface layer.
• Construction depth and distance: Requires a free construction depth of at least 65 mm calculated from the outside of the wet room panel to the front edge of the LK Distribution Cabinet or other installation, such as the LK Shaft Bottom SECURE.
• Spacing when installing in parallel: If two wet zone hatches are installed next to each other, a distance of at least 150 mm is recommended between the cabinets.
• Corner placement: When installing near corners, a distance of at least 100 mm to the cabinet is recommended. A table for drilling holes can be found in the installation instructions.
• Storage: The product should be stored in a temperate and frost-free environment before installation.
