Description

LK Wet Zone Hatch Preseal UNI 550x550 is a safe and high-quality built-in hatch developed for installation in wet rooms. The hatch has a prefabricated 50 mm wide foil flange that is mounted on a 60 mm wide frame flange, which provides a reliable and type-approved connection to the room's waterproofing. The product is approved for installation in wet zone 1 and wet zone 2, but not directly in place of a bath or shower.

Supplementary Surface Coverings

For a complete and aesthetic installation, the wet zone cover is supplemented with one of the following exterior covers:

• LK Tileable Design Preseal: Adapted for direct installation of ceramic tiling or tiles.
• LK Standard Design Preseal: White-lacquered sheet metal cover for a stylish and classic finish.

Flexible Assembly and Material Choice

The construction allows installation directly against the LK Distribution Cabinet or in the building frame, where accessories for both options are included. The outer frame can be adjusted between 3–13 mm so that it fits exactly with the wall surface. The parts that are attached to the wall are made of stainless steel, while the other components consist of galvanized steel sheet in white color (RAL 9016). The product should always be stored in a temperate and frost-free environment.

Important Assembly Instructions and Dimensions

• Building depth: Requires a free building depth of at least 65 mm calculated from the outside of the wet room panel to the front edge of the distribution cabinet or shaft bottom (e.g. LK Shaft Bottom SECURE).
• Distance between cabinets: When installing two wet zone hatches in parallel, a distance of at least 150 mm is recommended between the cabinets.
• Corner placement: When installing near corners, a minimum distance of 100 mm to the cabinet is recommended.
• Waterproofing: Connection and installation must be carried out in accordance with the applicable installation instructions and a list of system-approved brands of waterproofing.
• Note: The product is not suitable for installation with plastic mat as a surface layer, as there is no test method for foil flange against plastic mat.
