Description
NIBE EME 20 is an advanced communication module developed to create a seamless integration between the solar system's inverter and compatible heat pumps, indoor modules or control modules. By establishing a direct communication link, the module enables automatic and intelligent control of the property's energy flows, which maximizes the self-use of self-produced solar energy and reduces the need for purchased grid electricity.

Smart operating modes and prioritization
NIBE EME 20 works with intelligent thresholds to control the property's energy production and energy consumption:
- Low production (below 250 W): The system maintains standard operation without changing settings.
- Incipient production (above 250 W): The module registers active solar energy production and prepares the system for optimization.
- Moderate production (above 1 kW): The heat pump can activate pre-selected functions or close the AUX output for dedicated solar control if needed.
- Full coverage: When the solar production covers the facility's energy needs, the surplus is primarily directed to priorities such as domestic hot water, heating boost or household electricity via an external energy meter.
