Description

NIBE S1256 represents a new generation of intelligent, inverter-controlled ground source heat pumps equipped with an integrated water heater and a modern, more climate-friendly refrigerant. The advanced technology automatically adapts operation to the property's current heating needs so that no unnecessary energy is consumed. With an annual coefficient of performance (SCOP) of up to 6.22, the system delivers exceptional performance, low operating costs and a generous hot water capacity of up to approximately 300 liters. The model is optimized for villas up to approximately 400 m² and is available in three output sizes: 1.5–8 kW, 3–13 kW and 4–18 kW. Thanks to its quiet design, the NIBE S1256 is equally suitable for new construction as for replacing an existing heat source.

Optimized demand adaptation and inverter technology

The speed-controlled inverter compressor continuously modulates the output according to the house's energy needs throughout the year. This dynamic control minimizes wear, optimizes savings and ensures even room temperature and good access to hot water in all seasons.

Integrated hot water heater with low energy losses

The heat pump houses a built-in 180-liter hot water heater, insulated with environmentally friendly foam plastic. The insulation minimizes heat losses and enables high hot water comfort in tap profile XL.

Smart homes and myUplink

With built-in wireless connectivity, the NIBE S series integrates seamlessly into the connected home. The myUplink app provides a clear overview and full control of the system directly on your mobile phone or tablet. The system supports wireless accessories and sensors for monitoring temperature, humidity and carbon dioxide content, as well as voice control via, for example, Google Home. The software is automatically updated for the best possible function over time.

Smart Price Adaption and weather forecast control

Smart Price Adaption: The function retrieves hourly prices from the Nord Pool electricity exchange and optimizes operation so that the heat pump works most when the electricity price is lowest, which can reduce the variable heating cost.
Weather forecast control: By retrieving weather data in advance, the heat pump can proactively adapt heat production for rapid temperature changes, which creates a stable indoor climate and smoother operation.

Possibility of free cooling and active cooling

The system can be supplemented with accessories for passive free cooling, where cold from the bedrock is utilized at very low operating costs. There are also accessories for active cooling, where the heat pump reverses the process during summer to spread coolness via fan coils.

More environmentally friendly refrigerant and user-friendly design

NIBE S1256 uses a modern refrigerant with a lower climate impact and less carbon dioxide equivalent. The unit is operated via a user-friendly color touchscreen with an intuitive interface, housed behind a Scandinavian-designed door with a push-opening.
